Terms of service

Last updated 3 September 2026

These are the terms on which UpConduit ("we", "us") provides its monitoring service to you. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. They are deliberately short and in plain English.

1. The service

UpConduit checks websites, servers, DNS and email infrastructure that you configure, and alerts you when something changes. We aim for the service to be accurate and continuously available, and we monitor it with itself, but we do not guarantee that every outage will be detected or every alert delivered. Alert delivery depends on third parties (email providers, mobile networks, your webhook endpoint) that we do not control. UpConduit is one layer of your operational awareness, not a substitute for your own judgement or redundancy.

2. Your account

3. Plans, payment and changes

4. Acceptable use

Do not use UpConduit to attack, overload or scan systems you are not authorised to test; to send unsolicited email or messages through status-page subscriptions or team invitations; to circumvent limits; or to do anything unlawful. We may suspend or terminate accounts that do, without refund.

5. Your data

How we handle personal data is set out in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms. Your monitor configuration and results belong to you; you can export them through the API at any time and ask us to delete your account.

6. Availability and changes to the service

We may change, improve or withdraw features. Where a change materially reduces what a paid plan offers, we will tell you in advance. We may need to take the service down briefly for maintenance and will keep that to a minimum.

7. Liability

To the extent the law allows, UpConduit is provided "as is". We are not liable for losses arising from an outage we failed to detect, an alert that was delayed or not delivered, decisions you make based on the information we show, or events beyond our reasonable control. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

8. Ending the agreement

You can close your account at any time by emailing us. We can end it with 30 days' notice, or immediately for a serious breach of these terms. On closure we delete your data as described in the privacy policy.

9. General

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, without affecting consumer rights you have where you live. If part of these terms is found unenforceable the rest still applies. These terms and the privacy policy are the whole agreement between us for the service.
